Join us for a special service on March 9th as we honor Women’s History Month. Rev. Melissa and Katherine will celebrate the voices, resilience, and contributions of women throughout history. to experience the warmth and inspiration of our Unitarian Universalist community!

March 2, 2025: The Gift Economy
Rev. Melissa Sparks with Wes Stroupe & Greg Williamson
In a time when trust in institutions, rights, and even our neighbors feels fragile, where can we place our faith?
Inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer’s essay The Serviceberry, we will explore an alternative vision of trust—one rooted in
reciprocity, generosity, and shared commitment. Join us as we celebrate the abundance we create together and reflect
on what we choose to support in uncertain times

Acknowledge, Release, and Love
January 5, 2025
Wesley Stroupe and Lola Williamson will consider a Buddhist perspective to help us move forward with love in these difficult times. We’ll also share in a ritual of releasing. This service is part of a two-part series dedicated to teachings from the Buddhist path as we transition to 2025. The second part will be led by Rev. Melissa on January 12th. This will be her first service after returning from her sabbatical. Hip-hip-hooray!

Living in the Moment
January 12, 2025
Rev. Melissa is back in the pulpit after her six-month sabbatical! She’ll reflect on the theme of being awake to the present moment. Together, we’ll explore how attending to the present moment can deepen our spiritual lives and help us embrace both the beauty and challenges of the here and now.

After the Storm: Repairing Communities, Relationships, Land
November 10, 2024 – Guest speaker, Byron Ballard, will help us navigate ways to heal and reconnect as we move forward following the elections and hurricanes. We’ll also remember and celebrate the life of former UUCCV member, Michael Gordon, at the beginning of our service.
